Tiranga March
NSS – IIT
Kharagpur organized the Tiranga March on August 20, 2016 to celebrate the 70th
Independence Day. While 350 other
universities with NSS program across India celebrated the event on August 22,
2016, at IIT Kharagpur it took place on a Saturday to stick to Institute
schedule. Focusing on the theme of
national integration symbolized by the Indian tricolor – the Tiranga – 1000 IIT
Kharagpur volunteers of NSS marched at 15 villages adopted by them. They carried the National Flag and placards
and posters to disseminate the message of national integration.
